- Is power available at the site? A Portalogic station requires electrical service at the station location to operate. Confirm that power is available, or can be brought, to the site. Solar can be added as a supplementary power source where site power is limited or you want to reduce draw, but it supplements rather than replaces the required electrical service.
- How will the station connect to the network? Network connectivity at the site is recommended for remote management, metering, and billing. Portalogic supports three options—a hardwired Ethernet connection, Wi-Fi, or a cellular modem. If connectivity is not available, the station will still function; it simply requires manual syncs between the station and the software.

- Can an account be tracked without charging the standard rate? Yes. An account can be assigned a unique discount rate, so the water it draws is still metered and tracked even when the customer is not billed the standard price. - What if we do not want to run software? The locally installed package is included for customers who want full account and billing control. For customers who prefer not to operate software, Portalogic offers a timer-based design instead.
Support, service, and what to expect after delivery

- What training and support are included? Up to 8 hours of virtual software training is included for remote startup after the station is installed, along with guidance for software installation. One year of IT support is included for remote support and troubleshooting. Extended IT support and warranty packages are also available.
- What is required for routine maintenance? Maintenance of the internal piping can be performed by your own staff. Our support team is also available for questions, which is covered within the included IT support package.
- Where are technicians located if service is needed? If service is needed on internal piping components, you are welcome to source and support those independently. Support for the internal controls is handled remotely from our Aurora, Illinois office. Onsite technical support is available but is rarely needed.
- Who provides software support? All software support is provided in-house from our Aurora, Illinois office, not outsourced to a third party.
